The benefits of building envelope retrofits
In an article in Green Building News, John Bendt, vice president of building retrofit strategy for Minneapolis-based Apogee Enterprises Inc., stated he believes that many buildings are undergoing retrofits before owners and teams have considered all critical building aspects, especially the building envelope. As an expert in the building-envelope retrofit arena, he recommends that building owners look at HVAC, lighting and building envelope retrofits altogether to see the possibility of savings.
