Description
KPMB Architects designed Jackson-Triggs Winery’s Niagara Estate in Ontario with Alumicor’s VersaWall 2500 four-sided, structural silicone-glazed, traditional curtainwall. Constructed by Merit Contractors of Niagara with double-glazed IGUs and all non-metallic spacer, the system can achieve a total system U-factor of 2.75 W/m²•K (0.49 Btu/hr•ft²•°F). The curtainwall helps keep Jackson-Triggs Winery’s staff and visitors at the 4,181 m2 (45,000 ft2) facility comfortable in every season to produce and enjoy Canada’s award-winning wines. The project itself has been honored with numerous awards for design excellence.
