Personnel Profile: Steve Ringler, Client Development Manager
Drawing from a lifetime of experience in the glass and metal industry, Steve Ringler enjoys sharing his well-earned expertise with others.
At Alumicor, Ringler serves as a client development manager assisting project teams with selecting and specifying architectural aluminum products to meet their commercial building needs. Based in Toronto, he works most closely with architects, contractors, installers and customers located in southern Ontario.
“I enjoy meeting our customers with a smile and bringing the knowledge to assist them with their project needs,” said Ringler. “After 32 years in this field, I appreciate the comradery that has grown with time and experience, and the collaborative relationships shared across project teams and throughout the industry.”
For more than 50 years, Ringler’s parents owned Oakville Glass and Mirror, a commercial fabricator in Ontario. Together, he helped them successfully grow and operate the business. He studied glass and glazing at George Brown College, completed the Red Seal glazier program, worked in the field and the office, and eventually became CEO. His parents retired and sold their business in 2019.
Like his father, Ringler has been an active member of the Ontario Glass and Metal Association (OGMA). His involvement with OGMA spans more than a decade, including as 2013-14 board president. As a board member, he leads the association’s efforts in fostering and promoting member education, community outreach and cross-functional collaboration to create safe, successful commercial buildings.
Prior and concurrent to his leadership with OGMA, Ringler also volunteered his industry knowledge and leadership as part of the Hamilton Halton Construction Association (HHCA). For 16 years, he was an active member of the program committee helping with educational training and social networking events. From 2003-04, he volunteered on the board of directors, building on the association’s 100-year legacy of engagement in the industrial, commercial and institutional construction industry.
Throughout his career, Ringler has remained a member of the Construction Specifications Canada (CSC) and is pursuing his Certified Technical Representative (CTR). He continues to represent Alumicor at industry events in Ontario and beyond.
